The total cost to get your website up and running is $1499

This gets you:

• A fully responsive, 3 page website
• Basic SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) to get your site noticed
• Your first year’s web hosting

I have designed my business to make it easy for you to get a great website.  However, I do understand that once you get started you may decide you want more!  So to keep things simple here’s my “Add-on” menu.

Extra Pages – $249

Online Shop – $399

Photographs for your website – $50 per file

Copy updates and other work – $135 per hour.

If you wish to manage your own content once the site is up and running then you can request an Editor Role to be created. This will allow you to alter the text, images and add blog posts (if you have a blog page set up) You will be able to do this without fear of ‘breaking’ the webiste or altering the overall design.

For those requiring even greater input, full administrator role capabilities can also be made available. This role gives full access to the back end of your website and you will be fully responsible for the site.

Creation of either of these roles carry a cost and it must be noted that any required recovery work made to your site will incur charges should you need it.

You pay nothing until you’ve completed the initial questionnaire, we’ve had our first meeting and you’ve signed the contract to give me the go ahead to start work on building your website.  At this point 50% of the total price is payable.

The balance is payable upon completion of the site and your approval is met, after which the site will be published and your website will be online. Simple!

The option is there to pay over a longer term on a monthly basis.

I aim to have your website up and running within 5 weeks of receiving your signed contract, first payment installment and your copy and photograph files.  During this time you will have chance to view the site and request any changes you would like.

Your site will go live once you have signed off on it and made the final payment.

Hosting

Every website has to have a host site.  Your website files are uploaded to and stored on secure servers by a hosting company. From here your now published website can be accessed via the internet from anywhere in the world.

I use Bluehost Cloud web hosting.  Storing your files in Cloud Hosting means a more secure, faster loading website for you.

The first year of hosting is included in your website creation.  Future years hosting currently costs $95 per year

Domain Name

Your Domain Name is your website address, very much like your physical address helps people find you, your domain name allows people to find your website online.  Remember, when choosing or purchasing your Domain Name make it easy to remember and relevant to your business.   It can be useful to use your business name, especially if you are a local business for local people.   Also, for the same reason I suggest you choose the .co.nz ending.  It may also be useful to add what you do in there too.  If you take a look at mine www.smallbusinesswebsitedesign.co.nz  it tells you exactly what I do.  It also reflects what someone might type into google to look for this type of service. Your domain name can be anything you wish although the name has to be available on the domain register.  You can check your choices out here www.1stdomains.co.nz

If you don’t already have a domain name I can help you choose the right one for your company and register it. The cost is generally around $25-30 per year and your first year’s registration is included in your website price.

Fully Responsive

Your fully responsive website will look beautiful and function well on all devices.  Have you ever checked out a website on your mobile phone or tablet and found it almost impossible to read or navigate?  Well what you’re looking at there is a NON-responsive website!  These are not only ugly and frustrating but also are frowned upon by search engines.  Google will mark down any siite that is not now responsive.

SEO (aka Search Engine Optimisation)

This is what helps the likes of Google and Bing find your site online depending on what someone has searched for. Now you can pay a small fortune to specialist companies who will promise to ‘get you to the top of Google’ but that’s not what I’m about.  

I know that what you want right now is a simple, beautiful, effective website to help your customers learn more about you.  What is included with your site is the basic SEO needed to allow your customers to find you and learn all they need to know to choose you as their business of choice.  

Back-end Updates

I use WordPress as a platform with a professional suite of Themes.  These are constantly being updated and upgraded by the folk who build them.  To keep your site safe, secure, fast and working optimally I keep all these up to date for you for free!
